Hey all, first timer here. I hope that this is the correct section for this, if not I do apologize. I'm wondering if the following computer would be able to get OSX on it. Here are the full system specs: System Model Hewlett-Packard HP Compaq dc5100 SFF(EN271UT) Main Circuit Board Board: Hewlett-Packard 09E8h Serial Number: MXL64206Y9 Bus Clock: 800 megahertz BIOS: Hewlett-Packard 786C2 v01.09 Processor 3.20 gigahertz Intel Pentium 4 16 kilobyte primary memory cache 1024 kilobyte secondary memory cache 64-bit ready Hyper-threaded (2 total) Display NVIDIA Quadro NVS 55/280 PCI Sound SoundMAX Integrated Digital Audio Network NETGEAR WG311v2 802.11g Wireless PCI Adapter I have a feeling it might be too old, but we'll see. If it helps, here's how far I've gotten: iBoot as per the instructions, and when I load the BD, I hit F5, It brings up the disk. However, the current version of iBoot wouldn't do anything after, just a momentarly flash of the gray apple screen, then back to the HP Boot Screen.
Same results when trying PCIRootUID=1 and PCIRootUID=1 -x. I ended up burning a copy of the Legacy iBoot. This actually got me a tiny bit farther. It started to load the OSX disc, first with a screen that said the following two lines: @0, display -cfg 00000000 @1, display -cfg 00000000 I then go to the gray Apple screen and see the spinning icon. Problem is it just sits there for awhile and then it gives an icon (circle with a slash through) and that's where I remain. Same results when trying PCIRootUID=1 and PCIRootUID=1 -x.
